If you choose to use an email address and user name that have not been used for bicycle-related activity and are not otherwise obviously associated with the local area, this may keep your request from being approved. Due to the constant attempts of spammer exploits to gain forum membership, all requests are screened against a list of known spammers. Known spammers are silently rejected.

If the spammer check comes up clear, the address and ID are checked in Google. If the requester is unknown to Google or turns up with nothing related to bicycles or the local area, the request is likely to be held for rechecking later. There are over a dozen requests currently in that state dating back into May 2009.

I know some of you are aware of this, and some have asked for more info, so...  here ya go.

The Trikes Only Tour (TOT), later known as the Trikes Optional Tour.

The whole thing started by some trike riders from the BentriderOnline forums, I think this is the third year. Basically get together in Kellog, Idaho  and enoy some time on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes and others, and just generally hang out. Not exactly the same kind of 'tour' that some might think of, but that's what its been named. Seems not so far different from the Recumbent Retreat.

Here's a page at BROL with the latest info: http://www.bentrideronline.com/messageboard/showthread.php?t=47319

If you're interested in staying at the 'central' hotel, the Baymont Inn, you'll need to get that confirmation to Wayne (see that linked thread) by March 14th. Basically we're able to get one helluva discount from the normal room rates.

I think the current attendance count is up to 36 folks.

Note that while there will be mostly recumbent trikes, all are definitely welcome; think there's even been a couple upright riders attend.

I'm planning on heading up Sunday (got a car show locally on Saturday that I really want to attend, or I might head up then). Probably stick around til Thursday.

This one has been called the TaterTOT, or Idaho TOT. There is another TOT event being planned for September in BC, in and around the Banff area.

Scott and I will arrive on the Sunday the 28th and leave on Wednesday the 1st.

If you haven't done Tater TOT before, please come this year. It is a blast, the scenery is super, and the trails are excellent.
