If you choose to use an email address and user name that have not been used for bicycle-related activity and are not otherwise obviously associated with the local area, this may keep your request from being approved. Due to the constant attempts of spammer exploits to gain forum membership, all requests are screened against a list of known spammers. Known spammers are silently rejected.

If the spammer check comes up clear, the address and ID are checked in Google. If the requester is unknown to Google or turns up with nothing related to bicycles or the local area, the request is likely to be held for rechecking later. There are over a dozen requests currently in that state dating back into May 2009.

Hey, do you guys remember or know?  have you any recollection of who got the Reverse Gear coupon? as a door prize last year?  They are the ones who do jerseys with the pockets in the front?
Cheers – Danelle

PS – you will be pleased to know that Doug Querns (who rode his trike) is now working full time for the North Shore Stroke Recovery Centre and he is carrying the Olympic torch on Feb. 10th – there is no stopping that guy.

*******************************************

BTW - in the move from condo to RV and some new technology, a few of our records have been mis-placed. Can you please let me know who received the REVERSE Gear recumbent jersey from the ride last year? I would love to follow-up and find out how they like it.
***********************************************

Danelle is asking because she cannot remember, and the folks who donated the jersey (coupon?) lost the records and are wondering how that person likes the recumbent jersey.

It is was you who won the jersey, please contact Danelle and let her know :-)
Thanks
Edna

just found these links to you tube videos of the Olympic Torch relay for 2010.  Check out days 84, 85, 86 and 99.  Days 84/85/86 are from the area that Tour BC was last year - day 84 is from the Kootenay Rockies; day 85 is from Invermere to Kimberley; day 86 is Cranbrook to Nelson.  This area looks just a little different covered in snow (two weeks ago).  Day 99 is at Whistler - don't think it'll look like this in July though.

Sometime in the next week, Doug (who rode the trike) is supposed to be carrying the torch but I don't know which day.  I'm thinking this would be a good place to see it?

For those of us that took the time to tour the Canadian train Museum in Cranbrook - here is a link featuring the Olympic Torch in part .

Thanks Edna for the link - it is really different seeing the snow cover on the road we toured on - gawd it's gorgeous Wink
