It may disappoint at least one person, but I'm thinking that I may bring the Z-Bone over for JF instead of the Quest.

That is, if I can get it back together by then.

To both Ian and Tim - it doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you are there riding :-)

The BBC page has more info up now.

http://www.bbcbike.com/p.cfm/our-races/jack-frost-time-trial

I mapped out from the start area shown, looks like the finish is the same location as last year. (the usual?)  Something I was wondering about. Had also forgotten how tight that right hand turn is, gonna have to slow down for that one, don't need to put match scratches on the left side quite yet.

That, and I'm registered. Both OBRA membership and for the TT.

The start lists aren't posted yet, but do I remember correctly that the recumbents are the first start group?

Yes, You're remembering correctly :-)
Typically recumbents either go out first or very near the beginning.

I hate being first.

You have to peddle your $*(^#&*(#$&^ off so you don't get passed by some 11 year kid on a $6000 Trek TT rig!

Some times I don't have anything other than my pride.

The tight right turn is OK, since it comes at the end of the short "zag" after the "zig". It's also cambered right through the apex. One advantage of starting early is that you can run wide on the exit of that turn and probably not run into oncoming riders. You might want to pre-run the corner a couple times to see what it's like.

Coming back the other way you're usually going faster since it's fairly straight all the way from the turnaround. It's a killer to have to slow down for that corner and then sprint a couple hundred meters to the finish.

FWIW: typically the juniors start first, followed by the 'bents. I think.

The course looked pretty good today, but the wind was a nuisance. We did one complete loop and decided to head in for a Terminator milkshake. Heather was not really comfortable taking her first ride on a V-Rex under these conditions with a considerable of auto traffic and lots of cars milling about and parking on the shoulder outside the closed parks. I hope they don't do that during the race tomorrow. There were quite a few cars parked outside the closed lots at Lonnie's curve. Could be a problem for someone who takes the curve a little too fast.

The only substantive debris on the course was outside the dairy where there is just to much mud being tracked out onto the road. Not really significant, however. The high cross winds along that part were a bigger problem.

Weather ended up being just about perfect yesterday - albeit with a lower than normal turnout from OHPV. Todd was there with the Varna, Ian with his Quest, Edna with her socked TE and I had my Javelin.

Dave rode out later to help cheer us on and Lonnie showed up at the end.

It seemed faster than the past 2 years even though I had a Junior pass me on the way out going too fast to sustain (damaging to the pride anyways). I blew by him just after the turn around and recovered the stagger +. Edna was hauling it as she was much closer at the turn around than expected.

Todd kicked butt as usual - as it was a new course, it will be a course record regardless. Ian had to put up with all of the bystanders/participants fondling the Quest (myself as well).

Just waiting for the final results. Just enough pain today to show that I gave it a decent shot.

It was a great Jack Frost.  The weather couldn't be better for the time of year.  A slight tail wind for the return leg always helps.  I think the new course is better than the old.  A longer stretch of smooth pavement before the turns does help with the average speed, and the 3 mile cool down back to the start helps the legs wind down.
Thanks to Ian for driving all the way out here for just one race.  I hope to see you in April for Estrada.
