If you choose to use an email address and user name that have not been used for bicycle-related activity and are not otherwise obviously associated with the local area, this may keep your request from being approved. Due to the constant attempts of spammer exploits to gain forum membership, all requests are screened against a list of known spammers. Known spammers are silently rejected.

If the spammer check comes up clear, the address and ID are checked in Google. If the requester is unknown to Google or turns up with nothing related to bicycles or the local area, the request is likely to be held for rechecking later. There are over a dozen requests currently in that state dating back into May 2009.

Hey gang,
My friend Ed just finished his Alleweder and it looks sweet!  That makes 4 VMs that I know of in Lane County.  I took a short video, will post some pics when I get them.  We're going to try to go riding together this weekend, I'll be sure to bring a camera.  I'm pretty sure he'll be at LCVMG, too.

You Lane County guys have got it going on down there! If the commute wasn't so far I'd consider moving south  Cheesy

Please send him my congratulations and encourage him to attend the 2010 LCVMG. Who knows if or where it'll be in 2011. He doesn't want to miss the opportunity while it's here!

Taylor:  Congratulations to your friend, Ed!  Would you check with him to see whether he would like to be on the LCVMG mailing list (which is about to go active) for any specific contacts?

Thanks,

My Alleweder project in Creswell was finished Dec. 19. I have posted info and photos at http://home.centurytel.net/gunderson/Velo/ I have been to the LCVMG in PDX the last few years and plan to ride the Alleweder up this year. Finding new muscles as I pedal the Alleweder. Great way to self propel in cold wet weather.

Lovely work and detailing, Ed.  I also look forward to seeing you and this well-built machine in May.

Thanks for (again) joining us.

Ed,

Congrats on finishing your Alleweder! I haven't checked this forum for awhile, so I just found out you were on the road. How do you like it so far?

I look forward to meeting you and seeing your velo. I will be at the LCVMG again this year.

Maybe we can have a Lane County velomobile ride sometime. I talked to Taylor at the LCVMG last year but I never connected with Rob English in person, although we spoke on the phone.

I'm in, it's just  question of when we can get together.  Rob's welcome, too, but to be fair he should ride with one leg tied behind his back.

Pshaw. He should be required to build his machine from scratch while riding it.
