If you choose to use an email address and user name that have not been used for bicycle-related activity and are not otherwise obviously associated with the local area, this may keep your request from being approved. Due to the constant attempts of spammer exploits to gain forum membership, all requests are screened against a list of known spammers. Known spammers are silently rejected.

If the spammer check comes up clear, the address and ID are checked in Google. If the requester is unknown to Google or turns up with nothing related to bicycles or the local area, the request is likely to be held for rechecking later. There are over a dozen requests currently in that state dating back into May 2009.

I have a nice ~6' long plastic folding table - and a few smallish things to sell. Although with only a Smart Car and an insufficient bike trailer, I could use help hauling the table to the meet.

Between our two tables it sounds like we collectively made around $1,000! A great time was had by all, and many smiling faces walked out with new bike toys gear & thicker wallets. Three notable things which did not sell were a well-priced Schlumpf, a half-priced BOB Yak trailer & a front-wheel-drive fork + wheel. Those respective owners can speak up if they're still willing to part with 'em.

Edna snuck in over a dozen voodoo donuts and plenty of milk, only after braving a frigid block-wrapping line. Dave provided precious coffee to those suffering withdrawals, as the coffee folks meandered in at nearly 10am. Lonnie & Todd provided plenty of entertainment, while Jeff chased-away the shorties gawking at his bikes. Many familiar faces stopped-by to cheer us on throughout the bright sunny day.

I managed to snap a few pics, and although the place was packed, we all wandered off throughout the day, comforted in the knowledge that a fellow OHPV member would happily process our transactions. For those who didn't bring your goods, and smiling faces, you really missed out on a great chance to sell your old gear (maybe next year!).
