If you choose to use an email address and user name that have not been used for bicycle-related activity and are not otherwise obviously associated with the local area, this may keep your request from being approved. Due to the constant attempts of spammer exploits to gain forum membership, all requests are screened against a list of known spammers. Known spammers are silently rejected.

If the spammer check comes up clear, the address and ID are checked in Google. If the requester is unknown to Google or turns up with nothing related to bicycles or the local area, the request is likely to be held for rechecking later. There are over a dozen requests currently in that state dating back into May 2009.

Has anyone ridden the Monster Cookie starting and ending at Champoeg instead of Salem? If so, were there any problems?

We're thinking of doing that this year, to save the time and gas required to drive to Salem. We'd have to start early to get to Salem in time to head back north by 10 a.m., but I think it might be doable.

Thanks for your help,

adrienne

Yay! The 4-Kett train pulled into Champoeg just as Diane and I were leaving. I didn't get any photos, but someone said Edna got some. Here's mine:

It was a very fun ride - very social.  It was good to see so many familiar faces.  But alas, I didn't take any pictures.  I said I was going to, but never did.  I'm getting very good at just carrying my camera in my handlebar bag, and never using it.  Gotta change that!

It was a great ride, in what I consider to be perfect weather. To save gas, we started and ended our ride at Champoeg, so it was a bit less social, but we did get to see the Kett train. Unfortunately, we were riding in the opposite direction at the time, so I didn't get a photo Smiley Like Edna, I'm getting good at carrying my camera and never using it.

Jeff, I love your photos.

Jeff, do you know who is the owner of the trike with the red Velokit on it? It would be nice if they could bring it to the LCVMG to show an option for trikes.

Oh.

My.

Gawd....

I'm going to spread this far and wide!

Robert- do you have the still frames posted somewhere? It'd be nice to be able to pass them around on different forums.
