The Rites of Spring ride kicks off (usually) our riding season. We have it every year on a Saturday close to the Vernal Equinox. (That's the beginning of Spring.) We dance, we cavort, we ride a few miles.
In the past couple years, we've invited other bike groups to join us, including Slug Velo. We like to have sociable bike rides, and the Sluggies have this down to a science.

This has been an annual happening since 1997. Attendance has varied, mostly due to weather. I've kept an uneven history of the event on the web, so these links point all over the place:
