Short Track
This will be a a new event in 2010 and we are hoping it takes off! It should be a lot of fun and will also be an alternative race for people who may not want to ride the longer 1 hour Road Race. It is a distance and timed event that will take a much tighter loop using the paved infield road to cut off a significant portion of the track. This section is a nice technical twist that should make for a fast and exciting race!
This race is for racers in all divisions and classes: men's, women's, juniors, and tandems. Racers will go for 4 laps (the total race is 1.25 miles) around the shortened course. Upon the completion of the 3rd lap, riders will be shown the white flag (white flag indicates the riders are on their last lap). Placement of finish will be determined by number of laps completed and time to finish those laps for each class.
